We’re honoured to join our colleagues across the ATB Morton Group of Companies once again this year on Thursday 23rd March for the Variety – the Children’s Charity Spin 4 Kids virtual event.

Now in it’s 7th year, the event consists of a 5hr spin bike challenge with teams of up to 10 people rotating through a tag team approach to keep the pedals moving for the full duration of the event. The 2023 event raised just over $68,000, with the three ATB teams managing to raise a combined total of just over $8,500.

The three teams, consisting of employees from six of ATB’s divisions including ATB Group, Advanciv, CIA Precast and Steel, Construction, Hunter Galvanizing and ourselves, rode 135.43, 140.72 and 140.06km throughout the day.

We supplied concrete for the much needed upgrades to the NSW RFS – Quorrobolong Brigade Station, working alongside Geronimi Concreting & Excavation. The upgrades will help to provide a safer facility to better support the volunteers and the work they do in keeping the community safe. Redicrete is proud to be able to support our local community!

The two teams, consisting of employees from six of ATB’s divisions including Head Office, Advanciv, CIA Precast and Steel, Construction, Hunter Galvanizing and ourselves, rode 148.19 and 142.13km throughout the day.

Although the weather looked a little unpredictable on Sunday morning, it was still a great turn out to the event with plenty of toys being donated to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal to bring happiness to disadvantaged children this year. Congratulations to the Newcastle community for your generosity.

The 2021 Redicrete NRL Tipping Comp has come to an end and our winners all have their prizes just in time for the warmer weather to start settling in. Congratulations to Solution47, Bronzewing. and craiggibbo; we hope you manage to put your prizes to good use this coming summer. Thank you to everyone who participated, we hope you enjoyed the comp!

Di Prinzio Concreting are doing their bit for the community and using their bright pink Concrete Pump in and effort to raise cancer awareness in Newcastle and surrounding suburbs. All proceeds raised will be donated to local not-for-profit organisation Pro Care and cancer research with the University of Newcastle.

Redicrete is proud to be one of the many sponsors involved in the initiative and enjoyed the time we spent with the Di Prinzio team at McDonald Jones stadium for the Newcastle Knights game last Sunday 30th May 2021 raising awareness for Women’s Breast Cancer and Men’s Prostate Cancer within our community. $1700 was raised in this one afternoon with more similar events planned to boost the fundraising.

Variety – the Children’s Charity host the Newcastle Spin 4 Kids event annually to raise much needed funds for the Charity. The event consists of a 5hr spin bike challenge with teams of up to 10 people rotating through a tag team approach to keep the pedals moving for the full duration of the event. The 2021 event raised just over $70k with 29 teams located either at The Station Newcastle or virtually in their own offices across Newcastle.

ATB’s two teams of 10 riders managed to raise an impressive combined total of $8,500, with the teams riding 144 and 148km. Thanks to Aaron Patch, Ben McShane and Kevin Cook from our Redicrete crew for your fundraising efforts and pedalling hard on the day. Well done to Kevin who was the second top fundraiser within the ATB teams, he manged to raise a total of $1.04k!

For our 2019 Newcastle Knights Player Appearance session this year, we invited a small group of students from Newcastle Senior School to watch the Knights training session, followed by a meet and greet with the team and then some lunch in the The Wests Bistro. One of the students involved is quite possibly The Knights biggest fan! We are pleased that we could put a smile on the faces of Isaac and his friends. What a great way to end the year! Thank you to all involved!

Redicrete are always on the look out for ways to support our local community, so when we were approached by Belair Public School, of course we helped out.

The school is developing a veggie garden to teach the kids how to grow and cook their own food and they needed a slab for their brand new garden shed to sit on. Some of the students even picked up some concreting tips along the way!

If you attended the Bikers for Kids 2018 Newcastle Toy Run last weekend you most probably would have seen two of our Redicrete trucks blocking the intersection of Maitland Road and Albert Street at Wickham Park; because who needs concrete road blocks when you have concrete trucks! For the second year in a row, Redicrete was a proud supporter of the charity event which aims to collect toys and donations for the annual Salvation Army Australia’s Christmas Appeal. Great effort from all involved!

With Christmas almost upon us, Redicrete has enlisted the help of some friendly elves that will be hanging around in the lead up to the festive season! To celebrate this magical time of the year, we have three Redicrete backyard sports summer packs to give away! Redicrete is all about supporting our local community, and with just a few weeks left of 2018 we arranged for our Newcastle Knights sponsored player Kalyn Ponga, to visit the kids an the John Hunter Children’s Hospital. It was a joyful and heart-warming occasion and was lovely seeing the smiles on the kids faces as Kalyn took the time to personally meet with them and hand out signed footballs. With Christmas fast approaching, we are very grateful for the opportunity to take the time out and bring a little joy to those going through tough times.

Minmi Public School carried out a Working Bee to beautify their school grounds and as part of this they were looking to refill their sand pit with a fresh batch of sand for the kids to enjoy endless hours of fun. This is where Redicrete comes in! We were more than happy to donate a load of double washed dune sand to the eager students. Have fun kids!

After 25 rounds of head scratching, pondering and ‘what if’ scenarios, the Redicrete 2018 NRL tipping competition has ended. Thank you everyone for participating and congratulations to our winners!

Redicrete is big on supporting the local community, so when St Patrick’s Primary School located in Wallsend mentioned they had to refill their school sandpit, we were happy to help.

After having a chat with the principal to determine what sand and how much was needed, the team jumped to it. The truck was loaded up with approximately 5 cubic metres of double washed dune sand and then headed off for delivery to give the school a fresh new supply for their sandpit.

The team were happy for this opportunity to help out a local Primary school.
